The Lady of Blossholme
The Lady of Blossholme is a historical romance set during the reign of Henry VIII. In this adventure, the wicked abbot Clement Maldon assassinates Sir John Foterell, and imprisons his daughter Cicely and stepmother Emlyn in a nunnery in order to claim the family fortune. LB was serialized in The British Weekly from June to November 1909. Hodder and Stoughton, London, published the first edition on 15 December 1909, which included 5 full-page color lithographs by Walter Paget. 15,000 copies printed.
